A rare original oil painting on board by Arthur Berry titled "A Hard Drinking Man".
Title: A Hard Drinking Man c1960s
This honest oil painting depicts a man dishevelled and worn by the ravages of alcohol. It perhaps shows what Arthur would describe as "a derelict." reminiscent of the street drinkers who would sleep by the kilns at night, and use alcohol to keep warm.
Painted circa 1960s.
Size: 12" x 23.75" / 31cm x 60cm ( Framed 17.75" x 29" / 45cm x 75cm)
Framed in heavy dark ornate oak moulding with aged look and linen slip.
