David Brammeld

David Brammeld is a Potteries based British artist who paints the changing urban scenes of the world around him. He has over many years been recording and exploring mainly decaying and neglected areas for a source of inspiration and subject matter. His work is a comment on the rapidly changing world in which we live today. More recently in 2016 he has been providing a series of work in which light is playing a big role onto the subject in front of him providing perhaps a changing sense of the city of Stoke on Trent, in which he lives. The city is at the time going through a regeneration and placing its unique place, culture and heritage at its centre.

David is a very experienced award-winning artist working in many medias including graphite, pastel, acrylic and oil as well as mixed media. He also spends time running his own art spaces as an art tutor, providing demonstrations and leading workshops.

David exhibits nationally and more recently internationally at the Pastel Society of France. His work features regularly in exhibitions at the Mall in London - in annual shows for the Pastel Society, the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA), the New English Art Club (NEAC) and the Royal Society of Oil Painters (ROI). His work was selected for the recent, inaugural Derwent Drawing Prize also held at the Mall Galleries.

His work is shown several times a year at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) Gallery. He became an elected Member of the RBSA in 2009.

His work is regularly shown in open art exhibitions throughout the UK and Europe.
