Geoffrey Wynne describes, "the painting is called 'Bastet' after the Egyptian God. The female figure was my partner shown with her cat. She was a great cat lover, the cat seemed to have a power over her, it was if they lived, the cat and her, in their own world".
Framed in a distressed tarnished silver metallic moulded frame with mount and under glass.
This painting is from the archive collection of Geoffrey Wynne and was painted whilst studying at the Burslem School of Art working with lecturers of the day including Arthur Berry, Enos Lovatt and George Mallilieu, Stoke-on-Trent during the 1980's.
