British ceramics design Jessie Roberts personal statement

"As a ceramic designer, I create objects which have harmoonu between form and surface. My collection of sensory ceramics has a deliberate softness and tactile quality. The idea behind the project came from my fascination with optical illustions and how individuals with dylexia (like myself) can be more susceptible to optical artwork. I enjoy exploring pattern as it evolves and travels across the surface of an object." 

Barewall are delighted to feature unique ceramics by Staffordshire based British ceramic artist Jessie Roberts. 

Early work from the collection at Barewall was picked from Materialise: A showcase of Five Young designers at Manchester Design and Craft Centre in 2018. The show featured artists which are showing how craft is being reinvented by the bright young things of 2018.
