Jiri Borsky (b. 1945)
Originally from The Czech Republic, Jiri has exhibited all across the United Kingdom and has collectors worldwide. Moving to Prague at the age of 15, Jiri was exposed to early and lasting influences in the form of 14th century Czech gothic panel paintings at the National Gallery.
During 1968 following the the Soviet invasion Jiri moved to England and settled in the Potteries becoming a British Citizen in 1975. Jiri trained at The Burslem School Of Art, his tutors included Arthur Berry and in 1979 graduated with a BA (Hons) degree.
In 2012 Barewall held a solo exhibition of Borsky's latest acrylic work which was a great success with most works selling on the opening night. Recent gallery show in 2017 also proved a great success.
