Peter Davis

Peter Davis is a prizewinning figurative painter who creates urban realist landscapes and contemporary portraits. In 2018, he had a solo show at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery and, in 2020, he was selected for the John Moore's Painting Prize, the equivalent of receiving an Oscar nomination in the art world.

Peter’s realistic paintings always include someone absorbed in their personal technology. His compositions move from busy streets to quiet alleyways, each vignette a fascinating narrative of the life of today’s Stokies. They are all stories of our time, of people going about their everyday lives, technology in hand.

Peter is an elected member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts (MAFA), the
Contemporary British Portrait Painters (CBPP) and Castlefield Gallery Associates.
