Richard Fitton British contemporary figurative and landscape painter, born Oldham in 1990, he graduated from Loughborough University in fine Art with a first class honours. Recently he was awarded membership of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts (MAFA) whilst still a student, making him the youngest member ever in its history. He is represented by major galleries across the UK from Cornwall to Lake District. His work has exhibited sitting alongside fine art masters including Grayson Perry, Bomberg and Frank Auerbach. He is considered to be one of the most exciting artists in the country and is being compared to British artist Frank Auerbach.
Working mostly in oil, applying thick broad brushstrokes in an impasto style. Richard also draws in charcoal, often landscapes and figure and head studies. Barewall love his work and are looking forward to seeing this young artist grow up across the British art scene in the years to come.
