The composition of an old woman with a colourful flowered hat and earrings sitting in a chair. She looks like she might be in her Sunday Best.

Size framed: 40cm x 50cm / 15.75" x 19.5"

Framed in thin edged light oak wooden frame moulding with white mount.

Provenance: Direct from a collection of Leslie Duxbury drawings which were at Bonhams.

Barewall are delighted to be able to offer this drawing as Leslie Duxbury was in the circle of Potteries painter Arthur Berry. Leslie Duxbury lived in the same house as Arthur Berry whilst in London in 1940's after Arthur Berry graduated from Royal College of Art, Arthur was working at Chelsea School of Art with sculptor George Fullard. Both George and artist Derrick Greaves also lived in the house.
