Original watercolour painting of people walking and strolling through Trentham Gardens by Trentham Hall painted in 1949 by Charles William Brown (C W Brown) signed and dated.

The painting is signed, dated with a label on the back of the address and name of the artist as Charles William Brown.

Framed in a paint mottled cream period original wooden slim frame from the 1940s with a label on the back with CW Brown's address, at 14 Lord Street, Etruria, Stoke on Trent.

This is a very rare large CW Brown original painting of Trentham Hall and Gardens painted in 1949 painting now available for sale, by CW Brown. Most of the collection of paintings can be found at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.

One of the collection includes an oil titled Trentham showing Trentham Hall with an elaborate painted frame and the name of the painting Trentham included. There is also an oil painting called Garden which appears to show the layout of the gardens at Trentham from the lake looking towards Trentham Hall. A third painting titled Garden dated 1956 in oil also shows a closer view of the hall from the lake with people enjoying the gardens.

C W Brown is known by Arthur Berry as "The Potteries Primitive".
